The Mummy Tag

I have had a mad couple of days so I’ve not had a chance to sit down and properly blog, it’s currently 22:17pm and I’m sat in bed thinking I really should blog! So, here goes a nice quick and simple post- The Mummy Tag!

I got this tag from Alex, who writes the Bump to Baby blog which is a fabulous read! So, here it goes, I hope it doesn’t bore you too much but I really do enjoy a good tag… I’d love to hear other mummy’s answers too! So tag me in your post or comment your answers!

1. Are you a Stay at Home Mum or a Working Mum?

I am both, I stay at home with Oscar whilst Ciaran is at work but I work from home, I am a Publishing Executive and I absolutely love it!

2. Would you have it any other way?

Absolutely not, I love that I can spend so much time with him but also do my own thing, I love my job and I love working and earning money for us but I would really hate to be out of the house missing out on these vital first months.

3. Do you co-sleep?

While we don’t actually put Oscar to sleep in our bed we have bought a co-sleeping pillow (will review that soon) as sometimes he ends up in our bed about 5:30 in the morning after his bottle as he likes his cuddles then and doesn’t much like going back into his crib at that time.

4. What is your one must-have item for your baby?

I’d say our must-have item for Oscar (besides the obvious nappies, clothes, milk etc) is his Musical Seahorse (again I’ll review soon) He loves it and it soothes him to sleep quite quickly.

5. How many kids do you plan on having?

As many as my body… and Ciaran will allow me.

6. Date Night? How many nights per month?

Yes, every Tuesday night. We go out for dinner every Tuesday, mostly with Oscar but he’s at the age where he sleeps through dinner, also, we don’t really have to worry if he was to start screaming because we always end up in Nandos, as we did tonight for Date Night, although Oscar was with his Nanny this evening and Mama even had a little shop which was heavenly without the pushchair!

7. Your childs favourite show?

At 5 weeks old he watches everything Mummy watches, I’m pretty sure Hollyoaks is his favourite at the moment, he gets really annoyed at Sienna.

8. Name one thing you bought before your baby was born and never ended up using?

His crib, unfortunately, Oscar really likes being held close and being really squashed and snuggly at night so being in his crib just didn’t work for him, he must’ve felt a bit lost in there, so we got a moses basket for him to sleep in with some padding and he absolutely loves it, although we’re trying him in his crib for the first night tonight.

9. Your child’s favourite food?

Milkies.

10. How many cars does your family have?

2, One for Mama One for Papa.

11. Weight gain before pregnancy, during, after and now?

Before pregnancy I’d gained 4 stone, I had really bad morning sickness for the first 4 months and lost 5 stone during that time, then I put on about 2 and a half stone during the rest of my pregnancy and the day before labour I weighed myself then 3 days later and I had lost 3 stone during those days of labour and my baby was only 8lbs 9oz!

12. Dream holiday with your kids?

Ohhh, somewhere lovely and exciting, Florida? Orlando? Disney!!

13. Dream holiday without your kids?

America still I think, New York or Venice.

14. How has your life changed since your baby has been born?

Not a lot has really changed except I have a lot less sleep, I see my family more, Ciaran and I are closer and I feel proud everyday. I am also much happier and more content than I have ever been.

15. Finish this sentence ‘It melts my heart to see…’

Ciaran and Oscar sleeping the same or Ciaran talking/singing to Baba.

16. Where do you shop for your kids?

For clothes- H&M, George, Next, Mothercare and John Lewis.

17. Favourite make-up and skincare products?

Ohh, you will have to have a look at my night time routine post, make -up wise MAC, Benefit, No 7 etc, I’ll do a make-up post soon.

18. Huggies or Pampers?

Pampers

19. Have you always wanted kids?

YES! Told my Junior School teacher that when I grew up I just wanted to be a mummy.

20. Best part about being a Mum?

Someone needs me every single day, someone loves me every single day, someone makes me smile and makes me happy every single day. It’s the most incredibly overwhelming feeling I’ve ever experienced and I’m so excited for the future, to watch him grow and stand by his side through all his milestones and achievements.

I tag all Mummys, I’m so excited to read others answers so please be sure to tag me!
