I’m so excited!
I feel like I literally just wrote my October favourites and NOW it’s December.
Can you believe it, Christmas is just around the corner and so is 2016 and yes I know I sound like a broken record writing that but I literally can’t believe it. When I was pregnant I felt like time was going backwards waiting for baba to make his appearence and now it’s like he was born in JULY and now it’s DECEMBER. Time is flying.
So here we go with a collection of things I’ve been loving through the month of November.
THIS. PROGRAMME. Is so bloody funny I can’t even explain, it’s season 2 that’s showing on UK television at the moment on Channel 4, Tuesday Night at 10pm I suggest you go and catch up on More 4 and watch it and have a really good laugh! This has become the ‘thing’ myself and my mum text about and quote when we see each other. I get actual abdominal cramps from laughing at this programme sometimes and genuine cheek ache.
This chocolate is my kryptonite, always has been and I think it always will be. It’s milky and creamy and light and just b-e-a-utiful! I don’t think I need to say anymore because I’m sure you’ve all tried it and if you love it I bet you fancy some now, get yaself to the shop!
MAC Soar Lip Liner
I’ve had this lip liner for a while and I will admit I only bought it because I read that Kylie Jenner used it. I wasn’t too keen on it when I got it home but nowwwwww I’ve found a love for it. I line my lips with this liner and fill them in with it too then create an ombre effect with a lighter pink lipstick I used MAC Matte Pink Plaid in this picture. It gives me a little summer feeling in these cold winter months. I have my eye on a deep red from Charlotte Tilbury, let me know a festive red you recommend!
I have just realised there’s two food items already, but you know, I’ll start the diet in January and all that. These biscuits dunked in a cup of tea are my go to after work now and sadly I’m out of them at the moment so I can’t indulge in some right now but I will reward myself with a cup of tea when this blog is done because I’m managing to write this, edit a new book that’s been submitted to us AND soothe and put to sleep a baby with separation anxiety. PHEW.
I’m just going to leave this video here, it’s a definite favourite of this month. What. A. Voice.
When we were doing our food shop the other day I picked up a small bunch of white carnations, some gypsophilia and some white chrysanthemums and put them all together in a vase I got as a gift and I just love them, they’re really starting to bloom now and it’s made me realise how much I love white flowers, I’m not going to buy anymore ready-made bouquets I’m going to buy multiple small bunches and create something myself. Why don’t you try it? It really does make you appreciate them more.
Hot Honey and Lemon
I started to get the dreaded sore throat last week and I wanted something ‘natural’ to ease it as I’m taking so many medications right now I’d rather not add anymore to it. I don’t know whether it was just a two day sore throat or if this actually worked but either way I’ve continued to drink it because it’s so nice and refreshing. I’m sipping on one now actually (I decided against the tea and also decided against waiting until the end of the blogging session as it’s taking substantially longer than I first anticipated. I use half a lemon per drink, I cut a slice off and pop it in the cup and squeeze the remainder of the lemon in the cup and add 2 teaspoons of honey and pour boiling water over and stir.
Oh, and then enjoy.
That’s it for this month folks, I’ve been so busy with work and family and festive preparation I haven’t had a chance to really try any new products, do you have any recommendations? I need some good skin care!
